| Academic Year Short-term Accommodation Enquiries
89 Chestnut Residence has limited short-term rooms available during the academic year (September to May). This is for use by visiting professors (or students) who are attending for teaching, research, internships etc on University of Toronto programmes only. Occasionally delegates attending UofT sponsored meetings and conventions are also assisted.
You will be required to provide documentation from the faculty you are visiting to confirm your status.
Reservations must be made in advance and are subject to availability.
VISITING PROFESSORS etc on University of Toronto Business;
For reservations organized by a University of Toronto department or faculty, please email andrea.nelson@utoronto.ca with arrival and departure dates and we will respond with availability and rate.
STUDENTS ON INTERNSHIPS etc enquiring about short term accommodation;
In order to make a reservation, we will require a faxed copy of your letter of acceptance from the University of Toronto department: this is to be sent to Andrea Nelson at fax number 416-977-1136. You may email your enquiry with arrival and departure dates to andrea.nelson@utoronto.ca who will respond with availability and rate.

CONFERENCE DELEGATES
During the academic year, we have several conference accommodation bookings organized by various University of Toronto departments. If you are attending a meeting or conference that has accommodation reserved here, individual reservations can be made by either:
1) Booking ON-LINE if you have been provided the conference corporate account number
2) By calling 416-977-0707 xt 0 and quoting the group booking code provided by the conference organizer.
PAYMENTS
All accommodation charges are paid ON ARRIVAL.
We accept Visa, MasterCard or cash. Personal and company cheques are not accepted.
Internal University “CC/CFC” billing can be arranged. The department or faculty organizing a visitor’s accommodation must have the Business Officer or Departmental Head email andrea.nelson@utoronto.ca confirming the appropriate cost centre, cost fund centre and GL code numbers to be used to settle accommodation and other charges, including the visitors name, arrival and departure dates in the email.
BOOKING GUARANTEE
All individual reservations must be guaranteed to a valid MasterCard or Visa.
CANCELLATIONS
A 24 hour notice of cancellation is required or the guarantee credit card will be charged. A cancellation number WILL be provided and must be retained in case of a credit card dispute.
Note: online bookings must be cancelled via the ON-LINE booking site.
